Soccer Capture: parent setup
Thank you for helping record training sessions. This page is private, so please don't share it.
⬇ Download the Android app (63 MB)Install the app (Android only)
Download Soccer Capture (63 MB)The download may appear only in your browser's download bar or notifications. Tap it there to install.
- Open the downloaded file. If Android asks, allow Install unknown apps for your browser.
- If Play Protect warns about an unknown developer, tap Install anyway. This is a private app, not from the Play Store.
- Open Soccer Capture and allow Camera, Microphone and Notifications.
Connect with your personal setup code
- Jeremy will send you a setup QR code or link that belongs to you only.
- Scan it with your phone camera, or tap the link. Then tap Open in Soccer Capture → Connect.
- You should see "Connected as <your name>". Please don't forward your code. If your phone is lost, tell Jeremy and he will switch that code off.
Phone settings
- Settings → Apps → Soccer Capture → Battery → Unrestricted, so a long recording isn't stopped.
- Before a session, charge the phone and check free space. The app shows how many minutes of recording are left.
- Turn on Do Not Disturb while recording.
Recording a session
- Pick the player, coach, location and options. Use + Add if a name is missing.
- If you use two phones, give both the same session ID (for example
2026-09-18-001) and set one to WIDE and the other to SIDE. - Tripod at about 1.5–1.8 m, landscape, steady. WIDE shows the whole drill area with a margin; SIDE is closer on feet and body.
- Press RECORD, have the player stand still for about 5 seconds, then give one loud, visible clap.
- Record the whole session continuously, with no stopping between drills. Press STOP at the end.
Uploading
- At home on Wi-Fi, tap UPLOAD. Keep the phone plugged in, because large videos take a while. Uploads pause without Wi-Fi and resume later.
- Wait for verified, then open Recordings → Delete all verified to free space. The app won't delete anything that hasn't been verified.
Videos go only to Jeremy's private server for a training-analysis project. Your code can upload recordings but cannot view or download anyone's videos. Questions? Message Jeremy.
